Shorten Your Sales Cycle With Video

Introduce prospects to your world before you meet

Consider creating a self-guided course to tell your story and engage your visitors, so you can focus on your prospect’s needs. Let good marketing assets get the repetitive explanation of the basics of doing business together out of the way. (Image made in Canva with Magic Media AI by author.)

So you can make that first call more meaningful.

Of course, it’s a choice on your guest’s part to check out these lead magnets. However, making some basic education available can 1) increase your credibility, (getting through the know, like, and trust stages faster), and also, 2) compress the sales timeline.

Think of all the times your first call with a prospect repeats the same points. Yes, telling folks about the benefits of your services and why you are the right vendor for a project is important.

It’s a script you repeat way too often.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the customer up to speed on some basics so you could dive right into the meat of their particular problems to solve?

A video or PDF might save you 20 minutes. Over and over again.

Wouldn’t it be great to tackle that subject matter in one recorded video? That video saves you time from repeating everything, but it also offers the opportunity to move prospects closer to choosing you.

It makes perfect sense, right? You’d think everyone would be doing this.

Videos, a course, and/or other materials can reduce the repetitive script of the first call, shortening the sales cycle. Share on X

There are oodles of possibilities of ways to get these initial points across. This “get-to-know-us” kind of video could reflect most of your FAQs. It could be a 5-part email program that is available rolled up in a PDF as well. It could be a recorded webinar with a downloadable brochure. Or a combination of these things. You could even include a self-assessment quiz that helps your web visitors identify the transformation they need from you.

All in all, videos, a course, and/or other materials can shorten the sales cycle.
